You can use a pencil or a black marker to add small elements to the scene. We started with the backdrop – some rocks, shrubs and shells. Then we added jellyfish and other fish. Some starfish and shells and it were looking good!
Other Ways to Make use of the Free Printable Scenery Drawing Prompts
What I love most about these prompts is how multipurpose they are! Of course, the easiest way to use them is to just print and draw, but there’s a lot more you can do with these.
- Once the drawing is all colored and complete, laminate and frame it for some lovely wall art for the kids’ room
- Color in the background, and fill in the remaining elements by treating it as a collage. Add different textures like cardboard, fabric and more to make it interesting.
- Laminate the sheets and use them as play dough mats
- These are drawing prompts, but you can also use them as story prompts! Let kids make up a story with their imagination. When they’re done drawing, let them test their writing skills too!
