blogger won 't let me create a blog

Reasons I Won’t Comment On Your Blog

August 12, 2020 by admin Leave a Comment

Blog comments are the lifeblood for any blog. Unless you have a new blog, try to get as many insightful comments as possible.

Here are few reasons why I will NEVER comment on your blog posts.

You made it difficult – Blog comments

This is the primary reason I won’t comment on your blog posts. Observe any blog that has fewer comments, it is because of two reasons. One: it might be a brand new blog and the other is, the blog owner made it difficult to leave blog comments.

In case 1 i.e if you have a new blog with no active readership, it becomes very hard for you to get blog comments. Moreover, you need better content for a long time to get comments and build loyal readership around your blogs (this is the primary reason why most new blogs don’t attract many comments).

Instead of worrying about getting comments on your posts, try to focus on providing the value to your readers, you will see the results in no time in case if you have a new blog.

In case 2, if you are getting fewer comments even if you are blogging for a while, try to make your commenting system as easy as possible.

  • Use Disqus
  • Install Facebook comment system and
  • Don’t use captcha’s
  • Don’t ask your commenters to subscribe (why the hell do they subscribe to you just for commenting on your blogs??)

No response what so ever Blog comments

Okay, I do this mistake a lot, I don’t normally respond to the comments I get. Usually I get anywhere around 20 to 30 comments on every single blog post I write on my blog, it gets bit tough for me to manage to those comments. Because everyday I get a lot of comments on other posts too, so I generally respond to those comments which needs a reply.

But, still it’s a mistake.

Yea, even if you are a busy blogger who has lots of stuff to do, try to spend time (or create time for yourself) to respond to all the comments on your blogs. In the worst case, try responding to as much comments as possible.

This indirectly shows your readers that you care and they will be glad to comment on your posts if they get a response from you J

Your blog content sucks

This is a no brainer.

If your content sucks, no one can do anything. You just have to put extra hours to write and craft great contents for your blogs.

Try to come up with catchy titles and provide problem solving posts, these type of contents usually receive tons of comments.

Don’t write generic contents which are already published elsewhere in the blogosphere. Even if you are writing generic topics, try to show your unique style or pattern. This way you will be able to grab more readers attention to make them comment on your posts.

You don’t moderate blog comments

When I see spam comments on any blog, I feel like ‘ahh! This guy don’t have the time to moderate his own comments, how can I expect him to moderate my comments’, so I simply ignore commenting on the blogs even though I like the contents.

Are you getting me?

If you want to get more blog comments, try to spend time on checking your dashboard. Closely observe who is commenting and whether spam comments went directly to the posts or not.

Use the plugins like Akismet and GASP or even better use CommentLuv premium plugin to stop spam comments on your blogs.

I personally use and recommend CommentLuv plugin because it worth every penny, it helps you control 99% of your spam comments.

I see ZERO comments everywhere

What if you land on a blog and see zero comments and reactions everywhere?

How do you feel?

I feel like “I shouldn’t be here”

Again.. unless you have a new blog, try to get blog comments and social shares on your posts. Even if you have a new blog, you can get more blog shares by actively participating in Facebook groups, twitter chats etc.

Don’t be selfish, try to promote others contents too before asking them to share your posts or comment on your blogs.

Over to you: When do you find it hard to leave comments on other blogs? Do have the same reasons or any extra reasons? Please share your thoughts below.
